Fergie's Big Screen Singing Launch

Black Eyed Peas star Fergie is excited about launching her solo career next year, because she gets to showcase her talents in upcoming movie Poseidon.

The singer/actress plays a lounge singer in the disaster movie and will perform new track I Won't Let You Fall - which she wrote with her Black Eyed Peas bandmates - in the movie and on the soundtrack.

The film will be released next year to coincide with her debut solo album - and she is excited, and a little anxious, about the prospect.

She says, "It will be the first time people see me as a solo artist. It will give people a sense of what I can do vocally."

But she insists is won't spell the end of the Black Eyed Peas: "It will be like a break from the band. I don't see the Black Eyed Peas door closing. It will be for that moment only."
