Bloom's Gem Obsession

Hollywood heart-throb Orlando Bloom is obsessed with collecting jewellery after falling for the adornments during filming of the Lord Of The Rings.

The English actor became fond of Maori jewels during his several years filming in New Zealand, especially the green stone pounamu and paua.

He explains, "It's like my life on a string really."

"It started in New Zealand. Everywhere I've been I've picked up a necklace. I suppose these are symbols from places I'm visited.

"Some have been given to me. I guess in five years I will be talking to you hunched over because I'll have so many."
