Hilton Chose From 10 Engagement Rings
Hotel heiress Paris Hilton was so eager to select the perfect engagement ring after her beau Paris Latsis proposed to her, she took her final two selections out to nightclubs for a test run.
Greek shipping heir Latsis proposed to Hilton at the end of last month (May 2005) after she returned from a three-week trip to Europe to promote her new movie House Of Wax.
And after accepting her beau's offer, Hilton went to work, choosing from a list of 10 possible engagement rings before settling on her final two.
Pals say Hilton placed one ring in her purse and kept the other one rock-side down to keep it hidden, only showing them to friends.
A pal says, "Both were gorgeous."
On Sunday (June 5, 2005), Hilton eventually settled on a 24-carat yellow diamond rung - one carat for each of her 24 years.
And just to make sure she was happy with her choice, Hilton was spotted in Beverly Hills looking at other rings just the next day - upwards of 25 carats and costing up to $17 million.
