Carter Regrets End Of Duff Romance

Pop heart-throb Aaron Carter deeply regrets cheating on ex-girlfriend Hilary Duff - because he's still in love with her.

The I Want Candy singer, 16, began dating Lindsay Lohan while he was still with Duff, which ended their relationship.

The move prompted Duff and Lohan to become longtime foes, and more than anything, Carter would like to have the So Yesterday singer as his girlfriend once more.

He tells Star magazine, "I'm still madly in love with her. I'm not with her, but that's just how it is. I messed up.

"I cheated on her with her best friend, which was very stupid of me and I regret it to this day... I didn't mean to do it, it just happened."

"But I still speak with Hilary every once in a while."
