Harry Potter movie tops U.S. box office


In its debut week, "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," distributed by Warner Bros., topped the U.S. box office grossing $93 million.

"Shrek 2," distributed by DreamWorks added $37 million to its box office of $314 million.

Fox's "The Day After Tomorrow" added $28 million to its box office of $129 million.

Buena Vista's "Raising Helen" added $6.7 million to its box office of $24 million.

"Troy," distributed by Warner Bros., added $5.7 million to its box office of $119 million.

Paramount's "Mean Girls" added $2.9 million to its box office of $78 million.

MGM's "Soul Plane" added $2.9 million to its box office of $11 million.

"Van Helsing," distributed by Universal, added $2.3 million to its box office of $115 million.

Fox's "Man on Fire" added $1 million to its box office of $75 million.

The independent film, "Super Size Me," added $835,000 to its box office of $6.2 million.
