Ben Affleck Pulls out of Brit 'Jersey Girl'

Ben Affleck has pulled out of the UK premiere of his latest film at the last minute.

The handsome actor says he is too ill, but friends also believe he doesn't want to face prying questions on his love life at the British screening of 'Jersey Girl', in which he stars with ex-fiancee Jennifer Lopez.

Affleck was supposed to attend the film's premiere tonight (02.06.04) with director Kevin Smith and fellow actress Raquel Castro.

The film, in which Ben and J.Lo play lovers, who are expecting a baby, was a box office disaster in America.

The Hollywood heartthrob says he has a 'bad bout of bronchitis' and will be unable to attend the premiere.

A friend revealed: "Ben is very aware of all the stories about Jennifer and her new love Marc Anthony and knows people will want to talk to him about it. But he is very poorly at the moment and there's no way he could make it."
