J.Lo Avoids Box Office Battle With Cruise

Movie bosses have reportedly shifted the release date of Jennifer Lopez's upcoming film Shall We Dance? back by two months - to avoid a box office beating by Tom Cruise's Collateral.
The two movies were set to go head-to-head at American cinemas on August 6th, but sources say distributor Miramaz has decided to delay the J.Lo film, which also stars Richard Gere.
A source tells US Weekly, "Miramax worried that women would pick Tom over Jennifer."
Lopez's movie will now hit theatres on October 15th instead.
A Miramax representative says the movie tested among the top three in the company's history and that the later date is better for awards consideration and less crowded with other openings.
