Potter Prank Upsets Fan

A young 'Harry Potter' fan was left distraught after she travelled 3,625 miles to meet actor Daniel Radcliffe - only to find she was the victim of an internet hoax.

The girl was delighted when she received an email - which she thought to be from the teenage star, who plays the boy wizard - claiming she had won the chance to meet him.

So she travelled all the way to the UK from Chile, South America with her mother and went to the London home Daniel shares with his family.

But the fan was "very distressed" when the actor's parents told her she had been cruelly tricked and couldn't meet Daniel.

Daniel's father, Alan, has now warned young 'Harry Potter' fans to beware of people pretending to be his son in internet chat rooms.

Daniel recently finished filming the third 'Harry Potter' movie, 'The Prisoner of Azkaban.'
