Sex And The City Set To Continue?
Stars of Sex and the City are holding secret talks about further shows which could earn them all more than $1.7 million per episode.
Despite the show's producer and actress Sarah Jessica Parker believing strongly that it was the "right time" to end the series, the hit series about four New York women and their relationships, now looks set to continue with a controversial pay-per-view scheme.
Although this scheme will certainly not appeal to the hit TV show's poorer fans, the pay-per-view idea would certainly ensure the stars at least $1.7 million per episode - and possibly more depending on consumer demand.
Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon all turned down mega-bucks salary raises by TV channel HBO, which were previously made in an attempt to convince them to continue the series. But the girls obviously had bigger ideas in mind.
The new tentative plans would see two, one-hour specials with the stars sharing the profits, similar to those deals made with boxers to fight world titles.
A TV insider reveals "That could amount to millions of dollars for each episode, substantially more than they were offered to continue the series."
If the two extra shows prove successful, a pair of one-hour specials could be made every year.
