Rings Stars Plan New Zealand Home Purchase

Lord of the Rings stars Elijah Wood, Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan are planning to buy a home together in New Zealand - to retain their connection with the country.

The acting trio - who play hobbits Frodo, Merry and Pippin in the Peter Jackson-directed series - loved working in the picturesque nation - where the fantasy trilogy was filmed over an 18-month period - and hope to return regularly in the future.

Elijah says, "We want a house in New Zealand because we don't want to lose connection with the country. It makes sense we go in together - we could holiday separately or together."
