Superstar couple Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are trying to buy a London love nest together - even though it's not for sale.

The Hollywood star and her Coldplay singer boyfriend went to view their preferred property last week unperturbed at having to pay an inflated price for the Belsize Park home, as it is not on the market.

A source reveals, "They went to a view which isn't even on the market last week. They asked an estate agent to get in touch with the owner so they could have an informal viewing. Huge figures were discussed, way over the market price.

"There are a lot of celebrities living up there who want to live normal lives, without the fuss or unwanted attention you get nearby. That's one of the attractions of the area."
