Bloom Inks Ridley Scott Deal

Lord of the Rings hunk Orlando Bloom has signed up to play the lead role in Ridley Scott's new epic The Kingdom of Heaven.
British Bloom will play a young peasant in the 12th century love yarn, which will be shot in Morocco early next year.
Scott promises the scale of the new project will eclipse his Roman epic Gladiator. The plot will chart his character's transition from peasant to a knight of the crusades who falls in love with the princess of Jerusalem.
Bloom and Scott have worked together once before - on 2001 war drama Black Hawk Down.
