Cox And Arquette's Breakdown Embarrassment

Friends star Courteney Cox was left red-faced after one of her husband David Arquette's decades-old cars failed to get them away from the paparazzi.

Cox and her beau, noted for his passion for bizarre fashion, were recently leaving a Hollywood restaurant when they found themselves facing hordes of photographers.

But instead of making the swift and slick getaway they had hoped for, Arquette's prized vehicle stalled in front of onlookers - five times.

The brunette actress recalls, "We were at a restaurant the other night and David had this '57 Chevy. It's a beautiful car, very discreet - it's purple with flames!

"There were all these paparazzi outside of the restaurant and David couldn't start the car. I was laughing so hard. It was really embarrassing.

"David always buys cars that break down within the first week of getting them. We don't have a driveway and David has like five cars - old cars that don't run."
