Friends actress Lisa Kudrow is set to cash in after inventing a gadget that prevents mobile phones from straying too far.
The star - who plays dozy Phoebe - is known on set for regularly losing her phone.
Now Lisa and a technician on the show have come up with a 10-foot rubber lead that clips on the end of her phone. The other end is attached to the inside of her handbag.
A source says, "There are usually a couple of times a day that Lisa will say, 'Where did I put my cell-phone?'"
Following encouragement from Friends co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox, Lisa decided to instruct her lawyers to take the first steps towards patenting the device.
The insider says, "They hope to have it in production this year."
