Elijah Fears Live-in Girlfriend

Lord of the Rings star Elijah Wood is worried about one of his romances getting serious - because he's never taken a girl back to the home he shares with his mom.

The actor lives in a guest house behind his mom's home in Santa Monica, California, and though he's convinced his mom would welcome her son sharing his pad with a girlfriend, he's tentative about the big day.

He says, "I don't know how it would work, but my mom would probably be pretty cool."

And the heartthrob, who has been linked romantically with Try Seventeen co-star Franka Potente, already has the perfect girl in mind.

He adds, "I really enjoy women who have a strong sense of themselves, who aren't afraid to speak their mind.

"On a superficial level, I like girls with dark hair and I prefer accents."
