Free Music Says Wood

"Lord of the Rings" star Elijah Wood disagrees with musicians campaigning against the use of MP3s.

A number of leading musicians, including Nelly and Britney Spears, are furiously fighting against the free use of music on the internet.

But Wood - who is planning to launch his own music career in the future - is convinced the world wide web is the way forward for music, because it's often only way unknown musicians get the chance to showcase their work.

Elijah says, "The whole anti-MP3 thing p****s me off and especially Lars Ulrich. People had the opportunity to listen to bands they'd never heard before. It was doing more good than harm but people with greed for money were trying to stop a revolution. I don't like his attitude. "
