'8 Mile' Premieres in Hollywood

Eminem's one-time target Christina Aguilera proved the two are friends now when she turned up to support the rapper's new movie "8 Mile" in Hollywood on Wednesday night.

Aguilera was joined by Avril Lavigne, Matthew Perry, Alicia Silverstone, Pamela Anderson, Kid Rock and Eminem's "8 Mile" co-stars Brittany Murphy and Kim Basinger at the premiere of the film.

But it was the star of the night who stole the show, and appeared stunned by his popularity.

Fans screamed as the rap star arrived at the screening and when reporters asked him for a reaction, the sullen star said, "I have no idea what this is. I'm too Hollywood for you guys," before stomping off up the red carpet surrounded by eight bodyguards.

Eminem beefed up his personal security in wake of the tragic murder of RUN-DMC star Jam Master Jay last week.

A source says, "Eminem's people were really worried about his safety. They were concerned something might happen as he walked up the carpet."
