Lisa Kudrow Donates Her Time
"Friends" star Lisa Kudrow has been donating her time to helping children enhance their skills in the arts.
The actress has been a regular visitor to downtown Los Angeles, where she helps out as part of the Inner City Arts team, bringing music, dance, art and drama to kids.
Although Kudrow enjoys the work she does with the youngsters, she admits that she's not exactly a dab hand at creating masterpieces.
She says, "They have lots of things here. I did something with pottery, like a clay animal, but I'm not good at anything - and I mean anything!"
Although Kudrow is now the most recognisable face on the team, she says that when she first started helping out, nobody knew who she was because "Friends" was still a new show.
She explains, "I think the first time I came here, the TV show was in it's first season and nobody knew who I was. Plus the kids were too young to watch the show.
"They were just so happy that there was this lady here who was somebody different - not one of their teachers or another one of the kids in class. That was exciting."
