Jessica Alba's Upcoming Action Movie

Jessica Alba made her name in Hollywood with the James Cameron TV series "Dark Angel." Stylish and moody, the series was cancelled last year leaving Alba fans without regular access to their favorite actress. It wouldn't be long until Alba moved on to movies however, and although fans were expecting cool projects, most probably didn't expect Alba to resume her action fighting days so quickly.

According to Zap2it.com, Jessica Alba will be starring in a live action version of the comic book "Beautiful Killer," for Universal Pictures and Strike Entertainment.

The orphaned daughter of two secret agents, the comic "Beautiful Killer" focuses on a girl's quest to avenge her parents' death by using the cool spy gadgets they left behind.

"This is very cool, dark material that at its core is about a girl who loses her family to mysterious killers, flees and ultimately chooses to exact revenge," Alba tells Variety. "The chance to shape a character and story from its inception is a luxury for an actress."

Alba will act in and executive produce the upcoming project, which will grace the big screen under an undisclosed title. The movie is currently in pre-production.
