Innocent Plea From Duty
A man who allegedly ran over a woman outside a radio station where a crowd had gathered to see 'N Sync singer Justin Timberlake has pleaded 'not guilty' to a murder charge.
Cameron Duty is charged with the death of 21-year-old Anna White of Bellevue, Washington, who was standing on a sidewalk outside the Burbank studios of LA's KIIS-FM when a pickup truck in reverse struck her.
Duty was in court on Thursday and was released on $1 million bail. He was ordered to return to Pasadena Superior Court on October 29th for the setting of a preliminary hearing.
White was pinned under the truck and dragged for about a block, police said. The truck then hit another vehicle before police pulled the driver over about a block away. Duty was initially arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
Timberlake, who was at KIIS-FM for a late-night interview, has agreed to work with the group Recording Artists, Actors, and Athletes Against Drunk Driving to produce a public service video.
