Milano Supports Muslims

"Charmed" star Alyssa Milano wants her fellow Americans to refrain from prejudice towards Muslims after the September 11th atrocities.

The brunette actress is upset that many US citizens link the Islamic religion to the fundamentalist terrorists that crashed airplanes into New York's World Trade Center and The Pentagon in Washington DC a year ago.

Alyssa says, "My best friend is Muslim. He gave me a copy of the Koran (Islamic holy book) three years ago, and I know Islam is all about peace.

"The terrorists translated the Koran into something else. Everyone was saying the terrorists were Islamic and Muslim."

"They were no more typical of that than, say, Timothy McVeigh (convicted Oklahoma bomber) was a typical American or a typical Christian."
