Heather Graham's Movie Plans

After successful but racy roles in movies like "Boogie Nights," "Austin Powers II," and "Bowfinger," actress Heather Graham wants to expand the type of characters she plays. To that end, Heather says she's pursuing a particular role, that of the legendary Pope Joan, a woman who posed as a man and rose to the head of the Catholic Church.

She says, "I would love to play the part. It is one of a number of films I'm developing myself."

"There's this great script about this woman who, to get a good education, posed as a man and joined the priesthood. Then she becomes Pope and she's come from this place that it really pure and there's all this corruption around."

"She was in this parade going through the Rome streets and she gave birth, so they stoned her to death."

The film is still at the planning stages and is just one of several ideas Heather has. She adds, "Another one is about the rise of trade unions in America."

Heather Graham will release her newest movie "The Guru" this October.
