Sigler Writes Anorexia Book

"The Sopranos" star Jamie-Lynn Sigler realised it was time to seek help for her anorexia when a dance class rival told her that the show's producers were looking to replace her.

The image-conscious actress, now 22, weighed just 90 pounds when she started acting in "The Sopranos," and learned that her 'perfect' look wasn't so perfect.

She explains, "I really didn't know they were looking to replace me. I knew they were concerned with the way I looked.

"But it took a girl, who I really didn't like, at my dance class to let me know. She said, 'What's the name of that show you're doing?' I said, 'The Sopranos,' and she said, 'Oh well, I just auditioned for your part.' It suddenly hit me that this is going to all go away because of what happened to me."

So Sigler turned to her two families for help.

She adds, "My parents were great and the cast and crew really do love each other."

Sigler has documented her battle with anorexia in her new book "Wisegirl."
