Cameron Diaz's Childhood Memories

Cameron Diaz, who hails from San Diego, California, says one of her most memorable summer vacations was spent with her Caribbean grandmother in the sunny state of Florida. But because her grandparent insisted on overprotecting her, the young Cameron was forced to entertain herself indoors.

She recalls, "When I was nine years old, I went to visit my grandmother in Tampa, Florida. She was from Cuba and I just adored her."

"I wasn't allowed outside the house - in case I broke my arm or was kidnapped. Of course, nothing like that ever happened.

"I'd sit in front on the TV or play cards with my grandmother, but I loved every minute."
