Update on Lance Bass' Space Trip
Comments
Lance Bass' quest to journey to the international space station could be in trouble again, largely because he's late with his $20 million entrance fee. The Russian space agency said Wednesday the singer's sponsors have missed the deadline to pay for his flight, and the officials might start looking for a replacement.
"Theoretically, we can already dissolve the contract," Rosaviakosmos spokesman Sergei Gorbunov told Reuters.
Bass' flight was supposed to be financed by a group of investors led by L.A.-based Destiny Productions, which has reportedly asked for an extension. Russian officials say they must pay up by Friday or the deal is deader than a Siberian winter.
