Katie Holmes on Movie Fast-Track

"Dawson's Creek" star Katie Holmes adds to her film career as two movies are released in late 2002.

She first stars in "Abandon" as a senior at an elite college who is forced to choose between her past passions and new possibilities. Under pressure to complete her schooling and land a prestigious job, the character has a run-in with an old boyfriend after an unexplained two-year disappearance.

She'll also co-star in the anticipated movie "Phone Booth". The premise behind this thriller involves a slick New York publicist (Colin Farrell) who picks up a ringing receiver in a phone booth and is told that if he hangs up, he'll be killed. Katie plays a girl named Kelly in the movie. "Phone Booth" was shot over 12 days in New York City.

"Phone Booth" will premiere in the US on November 15th. "Abandon" comes a month and a half earlier on September 27th.
