Christian Bale Vs. Superman

Christian Bale is set for an even bigger task than battling dragons in his next movie - fighting Superman.

The actor, whose last film, "Reign of Fire," saw him up against fire-breathing dragons, is the front runner to play Bruce Wayne and his alter-ego Batman in the planned "Batman Vs. Superman" flick.

But Bale is coy about the possibility of taking over the role made famous on the big screen by the likes of George Clooney, Michael Keaton and Val Kilmer.

He says, "I have nothing definite coming up at the moment. No contracts have been signed."
