Macaulay Culkin's Phobia

Hollywood child superstar Macaulay Culkin's agoraphobia is hardly surprising if you consider what he has to put up with, says his brother.

Kieran Culkin points out that the "Home Alone" actor, who suffers from a terrifying fear of leaving his house, has to cope with attention which would make most normal people fear going out in public.

He says, "I can kind of see it sometimes. Before we go out somewhere, like a bar or something like that, he gets very much prepared and ready to go outside."

"And there's a reason for it: When you go out with him, you see the way people treat him and the type of attention he gets. It's almost like work. It's really annoying. Just to go out and have some fun, he has to know what he's going to say (to fans), shake their hands and be very nice."

"Sometimes they're rude. If you're at places where people are drinking, people can be more than rude. You know, they'll grab and pull at hair and things like that. But he handles it very well."
