Natalie Imbruglia Sings for L'Oreal
Natalie Imbruglia's newest hit is...landing a contract as a new spokesmodel for L'Oréal.
The 27-year-old Australian is known for dating high-profile men such as rocker Lenny Kravitz, Tory politician Dr. Liam Fox and "Friends" star David Schwimmer. She'll use her sultry appeal to do television commercials and magazine ads in the international market for the cosmetics giant starting this summer.
Imbruglia gets a reported $150,000 for the first phase of her contract. She'll likely win a big raise if she helps sell lots of L'Oréal products and gets her contract renewed while she's still under 30.
She has some very hard acts to follow as the new international face of L'Oréal.
Other gorgeous women who previously held the job include Catherine Deneuve, Claudia Schiffer, Andie MacDowell, Milla Jovovich and Virginie Ledoyen.
Imbruglia, who was reared in a traditional Italian family in the small coastal town of Berkelyvale in New South Wales, got her start singing in amateur gigs and making commercials for Japanese chewing gum.
L'Oréal is also cashing in on her musical career. Imbruglia's second album, "White Lilies Island," will have some tie-ins with the release of beauty campaigns. The second song on the new album will be released along with the L'Oréal skin care campaign launching in July.
