Jude Law Fights Starbucks

Jude Law is joining his celebrity neighbours to fight plans for a Starbucks coffee house in Primrose Hill, north London.

The actor, along with 1,300 residents of the posh area, has written a letter of objection to Camden council, damning the drinks chain's plans for a cafe.

And it seems Jude and friends' protests have worked - the multi-billion dollar beverage giant has withdrawn plans for a Primrose Hill branch.

Global capitalism writer Noreen Hertz says, "It is huge. It is the first case I've heard of where Starbucks has not set up shop.

"I think it's part of a new awareness among businesses that they cannot any longer risk a backlash."
