Mumba Family's Movie Joy
Samantha Mumba and her younger brother Omero's first ever film was a family affair - her mother came along to look after them.
The Irish singer was pleased to land the role of Mara in Steven Spielberg's new blockbuster "The Time Machine," but nothing could beat Mumba's amazement when her 12-year-old sibling was given the part of her on-screen brother.
Omero reveals, "Talk about being blown away by it all. One minute I was on holiday with my mam and sister, the next these big directors were ringing me up.
"It was just brilliant and I loved doing the film. Working with Samantha helped me loads and I think we both pulled each other through it."
The pair's mother Barbara, 44, came along to keep an eye on her youthful prodigies.
She adds, "I'm so proud of them. I'm sure they'll keep their feet on the ground.
"There are days when I've felt I've lost Samantha before I was ready to - and to a certain extent I have. As for Omero, I think he's done great and I'll be there for him every step of the way."
