Reese Witherspoon's formula for staying with her husband Ryan Phillippe is a simple one - she never annoys him.

The actress has enjoyed a five-year romance with Phillippe, almost three of which have been spent as a married couple. And it's all down to the fact that the Southern belle has somehow managed never to wind up her husband, says Phillippe.

He explains, "Reese doesn't annoy me, that's why I know it's such a good thing. It's like everyone else in my life does."

"It's been five years since we've been together, and we've been married going on three years."
