Josh Hartnett Makes His Own Decisions

Hollywood newcomer Josh Hartnett ignored Pearl Harbor co-star Ben Affleck's acting advice.

Josh told pal Ben that he had been offered a part in Ridley Scott's war flick "Black Hawk Down," which Ben advised him to turn down.

Josh recalls, "Ben said to me, 'I can't believe you're going back to boot camp, you moron.'"

"And I told him, 'It's a different sort of thing and an important story to tell'."

The young hunk went on to accept the role as Ranger Staff Sergeant Matt Eversmann in the movie, which won two Oscars this year.
