Toss Up: Denise Richards or Baseball?

Charlie Sheen cancelled his first date with bride-to-be Denise Richards - so he could watch a baseball game.

The actor stood Denise up so he could watch San Francisco Giants' star Barry Bonds break batting records. He feared the date would have been a disaster if he was distracted by what was happening in the game - and to his surprise the former "Bond" girl didn't mind at all.

Charlie says, "It was Bonds' home run chase. He was on 69 and I knew he'd hit 70. I said, 'If we're out at dinner, I'm going to be looking at my pager all night, I'm going to be calling friends.' I invited her to come to me instead and she did. That was October 4 2001. I'll always remember it - Bonds hit 70 and at that point I knew I'd met the girl of my dreams."

The couple became engaged on Boxing Day.
