Sex and the City Actress Expecting

Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays a confirmed bachelorette in "Sex in the City", is expecting a baby with her husband Matthew Broderick, forcing a production break in the saucy TV series, according to a report by syndicated gossip columnist Liz Smith Friday.

Parker, 37, and Broderick, 40, will celebrate their five-year wedding anniversary in May, and the announcement of the pregnancy comes after persistent rumours about trouble in their relationship.

It is still unclear how the pregnancy will impact Carrie Bradshaw, the character played by Parker, but one scenario has her undergoing her own pregnancy on the series. It was announced today that "Sex and the City" will suspend production this Wednesday to evaluate its production schedule.
