Kate Hudson Sues Former Assistant for Theft
Oscar-nominated actress Kate Hudson, daughter of bombshell Goldie Hawn, has sued her former personal assistant for unauthorized spending of 63,000 dollars, court documents said.
A lawsuit filed in superior court here Wednesday alleged that from the time she was hired in July 1999 as Hudson's personal assistant, Margaret Miller ran up 63,000 dollars in unauthorized bills. Miller was fired in March.
Hudson, 22, accused Miller of hiring limousines, buying clothing, going to beauty salons and reserving hotel rooms, all without permission. The suit lists charges ranging from 13.95 dollars for a car wash to 4,347.50 dollars for a first-class airline ticket upgrade.
Miller was unavailable for comment, and Hudson's attorney also remained mum on the lawsuit, which has been filed absent a criminal complaint.
