Prinze Knows the Secret to Hollywood Love

Freddie Prinze Jr. thinks he's figured out the secret to a successful Hollywood marriage - keep your mouth shut.

The handsome actor spoke to reporters at the taping for Fox's Teen Choice Awards on Sunday and refused to reveal the date for his impending wedding to Buffy star Sarah Michelle Gellar.

"The reason why Sarah and I work is because we don't talk about that stuff," said Prinze. "We keep it very special just for us."

The pair will keep their professional lives very public, teaming up in the upcoming "Scooby Doo" movie. But as for their nuptials, Prinze insists even the most respected reporter would not get the scoop.

"If I was sitting with Barbara Walters on her best day and she asked, I'm not gonna tell her," joked Prinze.

Their fans must appreciate the famous couple's attitude. Gellar was with Prinze at the event and picked up the prize for being a positive role model.

She says the distinction more than makes up for the Emmy's where the nominating committee snubbed her Vampire Slayer series.

"The teens, the audience, this is why we make the show. We don't make it for stodgy old Emmy voters," said Gellar. "That's not what keeps our show alive. It's the fans that keep our show alive. And the fact that we keep winning the fan awards, this is more important to us."

She'll soon find out if the fans follow her series in the fall when it switches from the popular WB Network to UPN.
