Shop Like a Pop Star

You've heard of "Shoppers for the Stars" but did you ever dream you could Shop with the Stars? For the first time, new technology is being used to let fans of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake shop alongside the two pop stars in an online shopping spree, giving fans a behind the scenes experience and look at celebrity fashion trends.

"Celebrity fashion and style is a huge driver of consumer purchasing decisions," says Michael Landau, General Merchandise Manger at Yahoo! Shopping. "Now people can see what stars like and then buy the products at the same time."

Starting June 11th, the first segment of the shopping spree will be online only through June 14th. It features video streams of the Princess of Pop and 'N Sync's Justin Timberlake at retail stores in New York. New segments will be released on June 21, June 28 and July 5, 2001.

As part of the online spree, Spears and Timberlake have donated personal items from their closet and signed collectibles for an auction designed to raise money for the stars' charities. Items include one of Justin's favorite outfits, Britney's Red Kimono from her "Oops, I Did It Again" concert tour and a 24 karat gold autographed single.
