MTV 2001 Movie Awards Nominees

The nominations for MTV's 2001 Movie Awards have been announced. An awards show that always seems to capture what was relevant in movies during the past year, the MTV Movie Awards are cool, un-pretentious, and very entertaining. Hosted by Jimmy Fallon and Kirsten Dunst, The MTV Movie Awards will air June 7th at 9:00 p.m. ET.

Highlights for the 2001 nominations include:

• Best Line: "Are you a pothead, Focker?" Robert DeNiro in Meet the Parents
• Best Music Moment: "The Tiny Dancer Bus Scene" in Almost Famous
• Best Dance Sequence: "Club Scene" in Save The Last Dance
• Best Female Performance: "Kate Hudson" in Almost Famous
• Breakthrough Performance Male: "Ashton Kutcher" in Dude, Where's My Car
• Best Action Sequence: "Plane Crash" in Cast Away
