"Charlie's Angels" may fly again, with production to begin as early as next spring on a sequel to last year's action-comedy starring Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu.
Producer Leonard Goldberg told Daily Variety he expects to have a finished screenplay in the next four to six weeks, "depending on whether a strike happens."
John August, who wrote the screenplay for the 1999 drama, "Go," is writing the screenplay.
"We'll take it to the Angels for their perusal," said Goldberg, "and if they like it, Sony can sit down with them and make a deal."
Goldberg is also working on a movie adaptation of the DC Comics superhero, "Wonder Woman." Variety said Warner Bros. is considering Sandra Bullock to star.
