'Planet of the Apes' Update

A portion of the new "Planet of the Apes'' movie, directed by Tim Burton and starring Mark Wahlberg and Helena Bonham Carter, will be filmed starting this month on the Big Island of Hilo.
It's the first major motion picture to be filmed on the island since Kevin Costner's "Waterworld'' in 1995.
The remake of the classic film is scheduled for release in July.
