Gwyneth Paltrow to Advertise Cosmetics?

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow is reported to be in negotiations to become the new face of cosmetics giant Estee Lauder.

According to American TV network MSNBC's Jeanette Walls, Paltrow has had a number of meetings with bosses at the cosmetics firm about starring in a new advertising campaign.

It's not known what effect that could have on "Bedazzled" star Elizabeth Hurley's contract with the company.

Walls quotes an Estee Lauder source as saying there has been "a certain amount of unhappiness among the Lauder family" over Hurley's recent raunchy new look.

Another source claims Paltrow is "the hot young face that Estee Lauder wants".

Estee Lauder is facing competition in American stores from rival cosmetics firm Lancome, which has recently signed up Uma Thurman as its new 'face'.
