Winona Ryder on Walk of Fame
Fourteen years after Winona Ryder appeared in her first major film role, she has been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The actress accepted her star in Los Angeles on Friday as a light rain fell on a crowd of 500 fans, including Oscar-winning actor Anthony Hopkins .
Ryder, 28, seemed taken aback by the award. "When I heard about this, I thought it was a joke," she told reporters. "This is so huge to me ... [it] gives me a chance to say you can walk all over me."
According to The Associated Press, Ryder was the 2,165th celeb to receive a star on the famed sidewalk, which covers Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street.
The actress last appeared in the 1999 drama Girl, Interrupted and this year's weepy Autumn in New York . She will next be seen in the demonic possession flick Lost Souls , which opens Oct. 13.
