Mel Tells All
As the first Spice Girl to release a solo number one single "I Want You Back," it's clear Mel B loves to live life at 100mph.
Catapulted into the spotlight with the Spice Girls she went instantly from obscurity to Spice and then most famously rushed into a hasty and much publicised marriage with Spice dancer Jimmy Gulzar, before giving birth to Phoenix Chi only to go through a bitter separation with Jimmy 18 months later.
It would be enough to make most people put their feet up and have a cup of tea. But the lady from Leeds has been locked away in the studio with the likes of Sisquo and the team behind Janet Jackson - Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, to record her solo album "Hot."
The first track to be released is "Tell Me," a dancey funk track that questions someone's real motives for entering a relationship with her, with lyrics such as " All you wanted was Mel B's money" which refers to her short-lived marriage.
Mel B's album "Hot" is to be released on October 9.
