Billie Lends Her Support

Pop star Billie Piper is fronting the U.K.'s "Jeans for Genes Appeal" fund-raiser this autumn.

She will lead the nation's fund-raisers as they don denim jeans to raise money for the appeal which annually raises millions of pounds towards research into genetic diseases.

People taking part in the campaign day on October 6 pay pounds 1 for the privilege of wearing jeans.

Seventeen-year-old Billie, best known for her songs "Because We Want To" and "Honey to the Bee," said: "I am delighted to be able to lend my support."

Geri Halliwell and Robbie Williams are also backing the appeal.
